ACCOMMODATION: 1. Basement suite (bedroom with double bed,
private bathroom, living room with coach).
2. Fenced back-yard (grass) camping (Mid May to Mid
September), bathroom and kitchen inside the house.
General- Will be willing to pick you up and drive
home from within city limits (i.e. Calgary airport,
bus station ...) Use of kitchen upstairs, washer
and dryer is possible, but reasonably limited.
Welcome to use Internet access (E-mail and telnet
usually free of charge), telephone, fax.
LOCATION: 25 min drive from the international airport,
4 minutes walk to local train station with service
to the city center (~20 min train ride) and most
other locations. Close to major shopping.
MAX GUESTS: 1. Basement accommodates 2 or possibly more,
depending on privacy desired.
2. Number of campers - we will discuss it.
MAX LENGTH: up to 7 days OK, longer stays negotiable.
EXPENSES: all additional communication charges, when using
telephone/fax (local calls are free), food
(if needed on regular basis), may be cost of gas for
trips outside of the city.
RESTRICTIONS: Not too many. Prefer guests to smoke outside,
be reasonably quiet (baby upstairs) and co-operative.
EXPECTATIONS: I expect some communication by e-mail and/or
telephone/fax in advance. Would like to have some
information about my future guests prior to their
arrival.
PRIOR NOTICE: 24 hours minimum. Try to contact me as early as you
can, so I can prepare a better accommodation for you
and coordinate your stay with my plans.
LANGUAGES: English (fluent), Russian - mother tongue.
THE HOST: Like to travel, traveled a lot by car, some hiking
and biking. Areas covered are mostly in
North-American West-coast and former USSR.
Downhill skier. I am M.Sc. in Computer Science,
worked as a software engineer, computer consultant
and technical writer. Among other things, intrigued
by formal logic (and have some trouble describing
myself). Co-host is my wife Julia.
